Strange Weather
November 24, 2006 by dryxanne
It’s surely strange weather here in Philippines.
I’m at Makati, not Manila, and for God’s sake, don’t ask me where it is, or whether it’s in Manila or outside Manila or somewhere near Manila. I can’t tell the difference. What I know is it’s an area, it’s an Avenue as well.
The weather here is sunny, with blue sky you rarely find in Jakarta. That is one thing I like. But strange is, this morning the sky was grey, looks like about to rain, and the air is thick, when I looked out of the window, I couldn’t see clearly far away, in the distance the city seemed to be covered by fog or smoke. But now it’s clear, I can see up to the distant mountain far away. Strange…
My friend, who has been staying here for 3 months, told me that the weather here is strange. It’s hot and sunny in the morning, but later in the afternoon can suddenly change to heavy rain. Not that Jakarta never had this kind of weather, but it’s not that often, he said. The rapid changing of weather, it causes people to fall sick easily.
The temperature is more or less the same with Jakarta, very hot. But the humidity is higher, I guess. I just feel that the weather and temperature feel a bit different. And now it’s too hot outside, I can’t go out to see a dog show on a field across the office’s building. I’m waiting for someone anyway, for work. Maybe later after it finishes, I can borrow an umbrella and go to see the dog show. I think it would be very interesting. Maybe taking some cute dogs’ pictures too and upload it into my newly refreshed Flickr account.
Have a happy weekend…
