The Reason I Blog
November 25, 2006 by dryxanne
Although not many people read it, I still like to blog.
Because :
1. It’s a way for me to spill out my thoughts and anger sometimes, without being bitchy to anybody. People can choose to read or not. Although they can’t (or they don’t know yet) choose not to accept the notice from FS everytime I update my blog. Sorry, but you all just have to dig in further. There is, in fact, one setting option that will stop you from receiving those annoying notification email whenever I update my blog.
2. It’s a tool for me to see, who are the people who really pay attention to what I write, and basically to me. If they have great interest, they will be curious to know my condition and my life, which they can read through my blog. Because I write a lot of things, including personal life.
3. It’s a great way to exercise my English and my writing skill. I don’t know yet, but I hope someday I can publish some writings. That’s why I need to practice a lot.
4. I’m a narcisist. I write so people read and know about MY life. Although sadly not many people read it, but it still makes me happy that sometimes I find some people do read it.
5. Because otherwise, Friendster just lose its attraction. Other than adding friends, writing testimonials, writing some reviews, posting pics, what else? And writing reviews is done by not so many people too.
.
6. And because I want to believe that doing thing that is considered useless (by some people) like writing blog, can become a way of making a living, like what Heather Armstrong does (www.dooce.com). And I enjoy her writing, really. I miss her blog if I miss it one day. I feel like something’s missing.
.
Basically, I blog because I want to justify that there are people who want to know about other people’s life and thoughts, and by sharing my life and thoughts to public, I justify my extra-ordinary of curiosity.
